Job Description

Under limited supervision and as a member of the general maintenance team, perform patching and painting, flooring repairs, carpentry work, and masonry work. Also support grounds maintenance, landscaping services, snow removal services, furniture installations, recycling, conference room setups, and other general maintenance duties in support of the general maintenance team.

  • Install new and perform repairs on drywall, patching, finishing up to level 5, and painting.

  • Perform miscellaneous repairs to flooring: install or repair carpet, wall cove base, corner guards, VCT flooring, and ceramic tile.

  • Perform basic rough and finished carpentry work.

  • Perform new and repairs on masonry work by laying forms, mixing, pouring, finishing concrete for sidewalks, ramps, curb and gutter, and slabs.

  • Provide asbestos, mold, and lead-based paint abatement services.

  • Perform repairs on fire-rated walls, floors, and ceiling assemblies. Perform installation of approved fire systems.

  • Provide training to general maintenance staff in multi-craft areas of expertise.

  • Coordinate and perform maintenance work order requests.

  • Perform miscellaneous roofing and siding repairs.

  • Assist with general maintenance services as required including commercial furniture installations, pest control and remediation, recycling, landscaping, snow removal, fire extinguisher inspections, and related general maintenance responsibilities.

  • Operate excavation, hauling, and maintenance equipment including tractors, skidsteers, backhoes, front-end loaders, and graders. Operate motorized heavy equipment including forklifts, aerial lifts, and scissor lifts.

Basic Qualifications

Relevant Associate's Degree or certification program of comparable scope in construction, mechanical or electrical technology and 4 or more years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience.
