A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or a related field, is preferred for this position, and three years of office administration experience and one year of HR experience is required.  

 
Our Benefit and HRIS Specialist is responsible for ensuring that team members have enrolled in benefits when appropriate, as well as helping them set up their direct deposit or pay card prior to payroll. They will work with the new employees and the payroll team to ensure that all pay information is set up correctly. This position will also help aid in the education regarding benefits, including benefit orientation and guides, answering questions and concerns for both employees and vendors. They will help to answer questions about PTO, leaves of absence, and scheduling. 

 
The Benefit and HRIS Specialist will coordinate with HR administration to ensure that new hires are properly set up in Paycom. They will partner with the HR Coordinator to ensure that all employee verification is completed in a timely manner. In addition, this role will set up and aid open enrollment for benefits and will assure that benefits and payroll related records are completed in a timely manner, to required standards. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensuring all team members have enrolled in benefits when appropriate, set up a direct deposit or pay card prior to payroll, and that all position and pay information is set up correctly and in accordance with all pay regulations.
• Educating and communicating regarding benefits, including benefit orientation, benefit guides and SharePoint (Hub) information, regular education, and acting as a liaison for benefit questions and concerns with vendors and broker.
• Coordinating with HR administration to ensure all new hires have HRIS (Paycom) logins for employee and administration accounts, configuring roles and resetting passwords when necessary.
• Partnering with HR Coordinator to ensure employment verifications are answered timely.
• Assist team members and supervisors with questions about leave, benefits, PTO, scheduling, and other aspects of interfacing with the HRIS (Paycom).
• Partner with Senior Payroll and Benefit Administrator to ensure separated team members receive information about benefit continuation and paystub access, partnering with our 3rd party COBRA administrator, updating records as needed, and supporting benefit reconciliation and month end reporting as needed.
• Set up and lead open enrollment once benefit changes are established each year. Partner with Senior Benefit and Payroll Administrator to ensure OE files are submitted timely and accurately.
• Serve as primary contact for leave management with team members and supervisors, which includes mailing/receiving any relevant medical documentation, ensuring documentation is saved in team member personnel files, utilizing HRIS for tracking and recording leave, and coordinating with HR staff as needed for Workers' Compensation, ADA, etc.
