The Role:
Coordinate the efficient and effective development, implementation, and monitoring of policy-related documentation for the Office of the Chief Nurse and Midwifery Officer.
Assisting with the development, management, coordination, and implementation of strategic projects for the nursing and midwifery professions in Tasmania.
Providing technical support and advice in areas including project planning, design, and coordination of projects as directed.
- High-level written and oral communication skills.
- Proven high levels of initiative, judgement, adaptability, and flexibility to modify approaches and adapt to new situations.
- Highly developed strategic, analytical, investigative, and research skills.
- Experience in project management and in policy analysis and advice.

The Team:
The Office of the Chief Nurse and Midwifery Officer (OCNMO) is a small, high performing, outcomes focussed team. The OCNMO provides strategic leadership and professional practice advice on a diverse range of issues relating to the nursing and midwifery professions. Our priorities focus on, but are not limited to, strategic planning, policy, workforce, research, education and training locally, nationally and internationally.
Details of appointment:
Fixed term, full time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 30 June 2025.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $95,393 to $100,067 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
