Classification Title:

Associate Director of Healthcare Administration

Classification Minimum Requirements:

Master's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience; or a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and six years of relevant experience.

Job Description:

The expected functions of the Associate Director of Healthcare Administration include :

Clinical Operations Oversight and Evaluation
Directs and evaluates clinical operations across six sites, ensuring alignment with institutional standards and patient care objectives. Oversees physician scheduling, resolves coverage conflicts, and ensures equitable workload distribution. 

Revenue Cycle and Coding Oversight
Supervises the coding team to ensure accurate charge capture, billing compliance, and denial management. Develops monitoring tools and provides regular reporting to leadership on revenue cycle performance. Partners with UF Health and COM revenue cycle leadership to address systemic issues and improve reimbursement processes

Administrative and Operational Leadership
Serves as a key liaison between the department and institutional offices. Coordinates with leadership across COM and UF Health to address operational challenges. Leads process improvement initiatives.

Financial and Strategic Support
Partners with the Department Administrator on budget planning and resource allocation. Reviews financial reports, analyzes trends, and provides recommendations to support departmental decision-making.

Expected Salary:

$115,000 - $125,000

Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree in appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience or a Bachelor’s degree in appropriate areas of specialization and six years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in healthcare administration, revenue cycle oversight, and clinical operations management. Demonstrated ability to lead teams, supervise staff, and implement operational improvements in complex organizations.
