Position Overview:
Reporting to the Senior Human Resources Business CHMG, responsible for sourcing, recruiting, interviewing and hiring providers for all CHMG locations as well as Graduate Medical Education Program (GME). Following the hiring of providers, also plays a key role in providers training, and onboarding as required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business, or related field.
- One year physician recruitment experience.
- Knowledge and Skills:Working knowledge of regulations, statutes and laws related to recruitment and employment. Possesses excellent organizational, interpersonal, conflict resolution, and verbal and written communication skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Identifies and sources targeted providers using a variety of creative and effective recruitment methods. Reviews CV's/applications and phone screens all candidates to determine quality and fit for the organization. Ensures candidates meet minimum job requirements and secures candidates based on education, skill sets, specific licensure/certification standards.
- Creates a comprehensive practice description for each opportunity. Prepares job descriptions and develops job postings. Identifies and searches candidate databases for potential candidates. Develops hiring campaigns for providers and places follow up calls to proactively source candidates.
- Researches and attends job fairs, conferences and other provider recruitment opportunities. Researches association publications, web sites and other appropriate resources on which to post provider opportunities. Develops relationships with residency/fellowship programs. Assists with the development of promotional materials pertaining to recruitment efforts.
- Maintains a candidate tracking worksheet/database reflecting documentation of positions open, interviews scheduled, conversations held, offers made or not made, offers accepted or not accepted, reasons for offers declined, etc. Follows up with all candidates and referring parties in a timely manner.
- Tracks and verifies all invoices and funds spent of external recruitment resources, including job postings, ad placements, third party placement fees, etc. Analyzes effectiveness of advertising and resources used.
- Oversees, organizes and coordinates all aspects of candidate itineraries, agendas and site visits including: travel and hotel reservations, office, hospital and community tours, appointments with providers, lunch/dinner reservations, and processes all related receipts. Prepares financial documents for the medical group for the purpose of tracking expenses. May escort candidates through their interviews and visit. May participate in Provider Orientation/Training.
- Contacts a minimum of three professional references for each candidate; documents information gathered and submits to Chief Clinical Officer and Chief Administrative Officer for the medical group. Follows-up and obtains feedback from interviewers and candidates after interview to determine interest on all parties’ behalf.
- Negotiates starting salary with selected candidate in collaboration with CHMG Management and CHMG General Counsel and extends offer of employment to selected final candidate. Prepares appropriate offer letter of employment upon conclusion of the hiring process. Collaborates with Risk Management to clear candidate for employment.
- Provides continued assistance to new hire providers in becoming acclimated to the community during their transition/relocation. Contacts new hires after 30 days and 60 days to determine satisfaction with the process and assess opportunities for improvement.
- Works with Administrative Director Graduate Medical Education internally to initiate recruitment efforts as well as other providers in local residency programs. Prepares for and participates in all residency recruitment events and career fairs.
- Stays current on regional and national provider hiring trends and practices; researches competitor’s activities to keep informed of changes impacting CHMG’s ability to hire and retain top talent. Provides input to CHMG management team to improve provider-related processes.
