- Responsible for cross-training office staff; supervises office staff.
- Enters requisitions; receives and processes all invoices.
- Compiles information for budget preparation, tracks and monitors budget expenditures and balances.
- Prepares and inputs payroll.
- Processes and records applicants/new hire paperwork; maintains department personnel records.
- Composes and types correspondence, memos, reports. Prepares agenda items and submits to Commissioner’s Court for approval.
- Supervises the processing of civil and criminal papers so they are can be distributed to deputies for immediate service.
- Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- 3 years of job related clerical experience. Computer training, bookkeeping and accounting experience preferred. Supervisory experience preferred.
- Basic computer and typing skills (minimum 35 wpm).
- Good verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with others.
- Ability to complete assigned tasks within tight deadlines, and the ability to prioritize own work.
- Must be able to multitask and maintain dependability and reliability.
STARTING SALARY RANGE: $20.10 - $25.13 hourly based on qualifications
CLOSING DATE: Upon filling position
