We are seeking an entry-level Connected Test Engineer to join our Farmington Hills, MI, team.
In this role, you will be responsible for the execution and issue investigation of Connected Car Services (CCS) End-to-End (E2E) validation, encompassing the entire process from the customer app to the vehicle and back, in support of global requirements. This includes validating offboard and regional CCS projects related to CCS validation.
A Day in the Life:
Conduct CCS E2E Test Evaluations: Complete end-to-end test evaluations to support the Chief Infotainment Engineer's (CIE) assessments.
Lead Investigations and Root Cause Analysis: Oversee CCS investigations and perform root cause analysis for issues identified during E2E testing.
Facilitate Issue Analysis: Collaborate with internal and external development teams to analyze CCS issues, ensuring project timelines are met for vehicle and non-vehicle projects.
Provide Guidance: Direct and guide CCS technicians and onsite supplier support members on assigned projects.
Adapt to Project Needs: Transition seamlessly between global E2E vehicle projects, global offboard deployment checks, and regional developments based on the Connected Car Test team's workload.
Engage in Continuous Learning: Stay updated on vehicle onboard electrical architecture, testing tools (V-CAN, Consult, etc.), and offboard components (Alliance Intelligent Cloud, Mobile Network Operators, Telematics Service Provider, Customer App).
Support Regional Teams: Assist regional teams, including Manufacturing, TCS, Port Checks, and Press/Media vehicles.
Who We’re Looking For:
Proficient in-vehicle networking protocols, including CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.
Experienced with a variety of software testing tools and methodologies.
Demonstrates strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
A valid driver's license is required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience:
1 to 2 years of professional-level engineering experience in Automotive, IT, or Networking.
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient in AWS and various programming languages.
Knowledgeable in cloud server management, IoT (Internet of Things), and Information Systems (IS).
Experienced with hardware and software testing and debugging tools.

Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Up to 15% of domestic and/or international travel may be required.
Overtime:
Willingness to work overtime as necessary to complete the job.
