Senior Treasurer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Treasurer to join our Finance & Accounting team in Athens. Reporting to the Deputy CFO, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing organization's financial aspects, including risk management, cash management, investment decisions, and financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Check and verify all cash transactions and operations for HQ and branches
• Reconcile bank statements against the GL on a tactical basis
• Perform reconciliations of accounts related to cash on a tactical basis
• Develop and document cash process and policy to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Oversee the financial affairs of a company and ensure the organization adheres to all legal accounting practices
• Ensure Treasury strategies are aligned to support business growth while minimizing risk.
• Determine funding opportunities and advise on investment opportunities.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in a relevant field, preferably in the banking industry
• Degree in Accounting or Finance; Master's degree and professional qualification (ACCA, CFA) will be considered an asset
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like SAP and Microsoft Navision / Dynamics
• Excellent command of the English language
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills – Excel, PowerPoint, Word
• Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
• Excellent teamwork skills
