This role requires a diverse skill set: someone with only a software or IT program management background will not be successful. The ability to plan as well as execute, the ability to cultivate strong, integrity-based relationships, the ability and willingness to learn new things, and a commitment to transparency are all required. Silent Eight is pragmatic and practical: come prepared to deliver results rather than endlessly discuss philosophy.

  • Analyzes key data to design and deploy process improvements across the company, ensure consistent alignment of effort, and maximize efficiencies across projects
  • Identifies and solves for evolving gaps and emerging needs in skills, process capabilities, and capacity to support sustained long-term business growth
  • Works across organizational boundaries inside and outside of Silent Eight, leading teams in building trust, collaboration, and breaking down barriers
  • Manage project risks, develop mitigation plans and resolve problems impacting project completion, proactively resolving project issues, and escalating to management when necessary

 Minimum requirements:

  • At least 5-10 years’ experience leading project management teams
  • At least 5-10 years’ experience of direct program management experience developing complex schedules, coordinating cross-functional teams, and leading execution
  • Experience in a quickly scaling organization
  • Comfortable with ambiguity but passionately strives to bring clarity to the organization
  • Background planning and delivering systems which require both hardware and software components
  • Experience working directly with clients to negotiate deliverables and taking a client-centric approach at all times
  • Proven success in managing teams in different locations
  • Executive-level verbal, visual, and written communication skills
  • Expertise with multiple program management methodologies and judgment to know when to use each
