Operations Specialist
Basic Function: Under the direct supervision of the Coordinator/Manager, Retirement Services, this position is responsible for all aspects of managing employer plan business.
Responsibilities:
• Process retirement contributions on a daily basis:
a. Prep and scan checks that come in via Lincoln Mailroom.
b. Work with team members to process all deposits received from employers to meet daily service levels.
c. Perform daily reconciliation of Employer bank accounts against outgoing contributions
d. Scan checks via FTNI and approve them
e. Work exceptions reports
f. Research and problem solve
g. Participate in and/or lead special projects
• Provide service to internal and external relationships.
a. Contact employers to resolve differences in invoice or file amounts.
b. Generate reports and invoices upon request to employers or TPAs.
c. Respond to internal service team who support Lincoln advisors
d. Outreach to advisors for money in suspense
e. Support vendor relationships
• Problem Resolution
a. Assist with problem solving of contribution related items which are generated from control reports, internal teams, employers, TPA and Advisors.
Knowledge/Experience:
• Required
◦ Experience working with Accounts Payable/Receivable
◦ Experience in investment or mutual fund operations
◦ Experience working in a service intense environment
◦ PC and/or data entry
◦ Excel knowledge
Skills:
• Organization and time management (i.e., ability to manage multiple priorities with varying deadlines)
• Detail oriented
• Strong communication skills
Education/Training:
• High school diploma
• Series 6 or 7 preferred
Physical/Other Requirements: May sit at workstation for extended periods of time; may view video display screen for extended periods of time also. Periods of fast pace are typical especially when working to meet various deadlines. Overtime may be required.
