Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description

As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead and manage a small team (5-6 total) of day and night shift maintenance technicians, oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department as well as perform maintenance related tasks as required to ensure safe and reliable operation of electrical and mechanical equipment. The Maintenance Supervisor will ensure PM’s and work orders are completed safely and in a timely manner. This position is located at the North Charleston, SC facility where there are roughly 50 employees total.

•    Supervise, coach and mentor maintenance personnel
•    Ensure maintenance personnel are properly trained
•    Continuous communication with all pertinent departments
•    Plan, schedule and assign PM’s and WO’s
•    Oversee the management and organization of storeroom inventories
•    Continually champion the development and implementation of our facility’s preventative/proactive maintenance program
•    Develop new PM tasks and update existing ones as necessary
•    Ensure CMMS is utilized, updated, and correct
•    Perform repairs of mechanical and electrical equipment
•    Act as the maintenance representative on capital projects
•    Contact and coordinate mechanical and/or electrical contractors as needed
•    Troubleshoot process instrumentation (flow meters, thermocouples, pressure transmitters, etc.)
•    Ensure EHS policies and action items are followed and completed
•    Track, monitor and report maintenance KPIs

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role? 
•    Ability to use technical manuals, blue prints, and engineering sketches as required
•    Robust mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting ability of conveying systems, rotating equipment, fans, pneumatics, packaging equipment (50lb bagger, palletizer and stretch wrapper) and more
•    Strong electrical knowledge and troubleshooting ability – 480 volt and lower
•    Fundamental controls and instrumentation knowledge such as level, flow, temperature and proximity sensors
•    High school diploma or GED
•    Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial maintenance
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
•    Experience with CMMS (specifically MP2 and QAD)
•    Excellent planning and leadership abilities
•    Robust problem solving and decision-making skills

•    Able to arc (stick) and MIG weld (Stainless welding a plus)

ICL Job Level: 15 

 

Salary Range: $68,470 - $127,150

 

Annual Bonus Target: 7%, subject to plan provisions.
