Senior Tax Manager, ESG

Join Aprio's environmental, social, and governance (ESG) tax advisory team and you will help clients maximize their opportunities. Aprio, LLP is a progressive, fast-growing firm looking for a ESG Senior Manager to join their dynamic team.  

Position responsibilities:

• Collaborating with Firm ESG Consulting lead, Director of Operations for Specialty Tax and Specialty Tax Lead to grow a new ESG tax practice. 
• Providing service offerings around ESG Tax Consulting for Aprio’s client base, including Energy Tax Credits, Investment Tax Credits, and strategic consulting
• Identifying opportunities and leading business development initiatives to grow this new practice area.
• Client management including writing proposals and completing pitches for new business
• Project and team management 
• Researching and staying up to date on current events and issues, particularly legislation changes at the Federal and State levels, which includes attending trade shows
• Collaborating with other internal personnel on other related engagements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, CPA preferred but not required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in tax, M&A, Finance or Accounting
• Passion for ESG and ESG related issues 
• Curious about solving ESG Tax Problems
• Tax Technical knowledge/or willingness to learn tax rules and regulations in ESG related areas
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to master new tasks quickly
• Demonstrated leadership experience and strong personal integrity
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment
• Demonstrated commitment to obtaining outstanding results
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills that help represent diverse communities
• Experience working with diverse teams
• Experience managing a team
