Responsibilities

As a Junior Demand planner you will be responsible for:  

  • Facilitating the allocation process, both annual allocation (malts) as well as incidental production allocation in case of new launches/shortages

  • Running all reporting to support the Demand Planning Team in their weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual activities

  • Ensuring data integrity of all reporting

  • Demand planning activities on part of the portfolio (using and maintain APO forecast as well as managing the portfolio through the WD cycle)

  • Support in management of the phasing in & out of products during its product life cycle

  • Support in management of slow moving stock with the objective of minimizing the write off of obsolete finished products

  • Support process improvement and tool development

Essential qualifications / experience required

  • Experience in FMCG Company in customer supply chain or customer management, demand or supply planning role

  • Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting methodologies, and advanced planning software (SAP APO, Excel, SAP BW)

  • Builds strong collaborative relationships within and outside of supply chain team.

  • Deliver on strategy through being restless and agile

  • Strong analytical (numerical), presentation & negotiation skills.

  • Can provide robust challenge, both internally and externally, to deliver required results, challenging the norm to find creative solutions

  • Able to handle ambiguity and operates well in a fast-paced, changing environment.

  • Ability to understand the customer’s individual and corporate requirements and match these to specific Diageo propositions

  • Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting methodologies, and advanced planning software (SAP APO, Excel, SAP BW)
