Position recruits and tests patients enrolled in studies according to protocols.

Job Description

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Schedules existing participants.
•  Reads and understands all protocols in order to retain participants and works with to study staff on retention.
• Responsible for monitoring supplies, ordering supplies and ensuring all equipment and schedules are organized.
• Responsible for appropriate response to conflicts, including scheduling extra visits or tests in consultation with study PIs and staff.
• Ensures study forms are properly filled out and complete; tracks down missing data.
• Works with the Central coordinating site for the Adolescent Brain and Cognitive Development study to implement protocols and maintain adherence to study protocols.
• Assists in education and training of new staff involved in studies.
• Provides input for research designs and protocols.
• Designs tracking logs for studies.
• Develops and implements a research activity calendar to establish a system to ensure timely scheduling of participant testing and coordination of health professionals during all phases of the studies.
• Works with the research team (investigators, clinical research staff) to coordinate current, as well as new tests/procedures needed to perform research protocols.
• Supervises research administration team (hiring, terminating, and scheduling assignments).
• Responsible for study related financials including expense reports, subject payment logs, managing invoices from vendors, and participant payments.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Some experience in a medical office.
• Working knowledge of computers, effective communication, and interpersonal and organizational skills.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Three years of clinical research experience or combination of work and education equaling seven years may substitute for this requirement.
• Basic Life Support Certification or must be obtained within one month of employment.  Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements.

Salary Range

$62,000.00 - $96,100.00 / Annually

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
