Position Summary:
The Electrical, Electronic, Electromechanical (EEE) and Materials & Processes (M&P) will provide expertise and support to the engineering team through all phases of specification, procurement, testing and manufacture.
Primary Responsibilities:
Primary (90%)
- Work with satellite design and AI&T teams on common specifications for both
- Responsible for ensuring quality and fit of all incoming parts:
- EEE parts quality and testing.
- Reviewing Declared Materials List (DML) and Declared Process List (DPL) for all components.
- Comparing radiation hardness of materials to specifications.
- Evaluating assembly processes for Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs).
- Evaluates supplier designs for compliance with Airbus U.S. specifications.
- Coordinates design definitions and manufacturing process controls with Technical Manager (TM), Supplier Development Manager (SDM), and Supply Chain Program Manager (SCPM).
- Design Phase Support
- Organizes the review of supplier system and organization controls (SOCs).
- Provides guidance to suppliers for process optimization during the design phase.
- Ensures that by the cost detail report (CDR) stage, all design aspects related to EEE and M&P have been validated by the appropriate expert.
- Consolidates reporting from a variety of technological fields.
- Production Support
- Ensures that procurement, evaluation and testing of all EEE components are done in accordance with specifications.
- Supports SCM and SDM by providing expert assessment of change proposals from suppliers.
- Supports TM and SDM during anomalies reviews.
- Updates EEE / RAD / M&P specifications when needed.
- Supports the program team by assessing mission and special needs (ATOX, radiation resistance, payload types and capacity, etc.) compatibility of AUS products.
- Provides technology-related insights during program gate reviews.
Additional Responsibilities (10%)

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:
Education:
- Engineering degree and PhD in either Electronics, Microelectronics, Materials, Radiation, Mechanical, Physics, or Thermal preferred.
Certification(s):
- None required.
- Preferred (any one of the following):
- Certified Lead Auditor, AS9100D
- Certified Lead Auditor, ISO 9001:2015
- Certified Lead Auditor, NQA-1 and 10 CFR Part 50 Appendix B
- Certified Lead Auditor, Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) and Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI)
- Certified Lead Internal Auditor, ISO/TS 16949
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years' EEE, materials, or process engineering.
- Experience interpreting/writing/editing technical specifications.
