Brown & Brown is seeking a Summer Intern Accounting to join our growing team in New Hyde Park, NY! 

  

Under the general leadership of the Regional Controller, the Intern is responsible for supporting various projects.   

  

How You Will Contribute: 

 

• Vendor expense audit to verify billed service is being received and invoiced accurately. 

• Assist with cash application/payables to cover summer vacations. 

• Assist with maintenance of Fixed Asset Roster. 

• Other miscellaneous duties as necessary.  

  

Skills & Experience to Be Successful: 
  

• Minimum education required High School Diploma or GED. 

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in an insurance related discipline. (preferred) 

• Proficient with MS Office Suite 

• Exceptional telephone demeanor 

• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. 

• 1 – 2 years' experience in a similar position 

• Basic insurance knowledge 

• Some licensing courses or ability to work towards license. (preferred) 

Pay Range

$19.00 - $19.00 Hourly

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
