Job Description

The ESG Product Assessor, will pursue and maintain internal SGS technical qualifications for performing ESG & Sustainability Report Assurance (SRA) services. They will perform virtual and on-site ESG & SRA services, as well as other related ESG services: Health Check, Materiality Assessment, Gap Analysis, and Performance Assessment. The Product Assessor will coach, support, and manage junior auditors and assessors to assist in delivering ESG & SRA services for clients.  In addition, they will conduct training for internal and external resources, auditors, sales, and operations staff along with providing customer care with client issues. The Product Assessor will support the sales team by conducting webinars and participating in industry trade shows and related activities.  They will also grow market share in collaboration with sales managers.

  • Pursue and maintain technical SGS internal qualifications for performing ESG & Sustainability Report Assurance (SRA) services.
  • Leading project management and performance of ESG & Sustainability Report Assurance (SRA) services for clients via virtual and on-site audits of their operations, processes, and documentation
  • Managing ESG & SRA Data Verifier and ESG & SRA Assessors in performing ESG & Sustainability Report Assurance (SRA) services for clients via virtual and on-site audits of their operations, processes, and documentation
  • Leading project management and performance of other ESG Solutions: Health Check, Materiality Assessment, Gap Analysis, and Performance Assessment for clients via virtual and on-site audits of their operations, processes, and documentation
  • Managing SGS auditors and assessors in performing ESG Solutions: Health Check, Materiality Assessment, Gap Analysis, and Performance Assessment for clients via virtual and on-site audits of their operations, processes, and documentation

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, environmental, engineering, or relevant discipline
  • 2 years’ experience leading assurance engagements for ESG and sustainability reports/KPIs to AA1000, ISAE 3000, GRI, and/or SASB standards

Preferred:

  • Professional credentials related to ESG: AA1000, ISAE 3000, GRI, SASB, TCFD, GHG Lead Auditor

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Valid US passport and driver’s license with the ability to travel in US and Canada (Required)
  • ISAE 3000, AA1000 ACSAP, FSA Credential-Level I, Certified GRI Professional (Preferred)

KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ ABILITIES

  • Language Skills:                 Fluent English
  • Mathematical Skills:           Strong, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Reasoning Skills/Abilities:  Problem solving, planning, report writing, non-compliance findings, auditing to standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, and positive interpersonal skills
  • Required integrity, tact, character, and high professional standards

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Required competency in using Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

TRAVEL

  • Travels up to 30% of the time, domestically in US and Canada
