BWXT is looking for a Corporate Development Manager for its Washington, DC location!
At BWXT, the Corporate Development Manager is responsible for leading and executing strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, partnerships, and other corporate development activities. You will work closely with the Vice President, Corporate Development and Mergers & Acquisitions, to identify and evaluate potential opportunities, conduct due diligence, negotiate definitive agreements, and manage the integration process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and strategic planning, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects. The candidate will need to be a strategic thinker with excellent analytical and communication skills, capable of working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The responsibilities will include identifying and assessing potential acquisition targets, negotiating deal terms, and managing relationships with key stakeholders.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Identify and Evaluate Opportunities: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential new business opportunities, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
- Strategic Partnerships: Develop and manage strategic partnerships to enhance business performance and drive growth.
- Market Research and Analysis: Perform detailed market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions and identify trends.
- Due Diligence: Oversee the due diligence process during mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions, ensuring all financial, legal, and operational aspects are thoroughly evaluated.
- Negotiation: Negotiate terms of deals and agreements with potential partners and stakeholders, ensuring favorable terms for the company.
- Integration Management: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of acquired entities, including aligning business processes and systems.
- Business Case Development: Develop and present comprehensive business cases to senior management for approval, including financial projections and risk assessments.
- Market Trends: Stay up to date with market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify potential opportunities and threats.
