Description
The Stock Room Clerk is responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and tracking inventory, consumables, and related materials in support of daily operations. This role is vital in ensuring inventory accuracy, material traceability, and compliance with aviation regulatory requirements while supporting production schedules and operational efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Know and understand company / department policies and safety procedures.
2. Receive incoming materials, parts, tooling, and consumables from suppliers and internal departments.
3. Verify shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and certifications.
4. Inspect packaging and materials for visible damage, discrepancies, non-conformance, or suspect parts.
5. Ensure all parts and materials are properly identified, labeled, and stored in designated locations.
6. Maintain accurate inventory transactions and inventory locations in company ERP system.
7. Pick, issue, and deliver parts, hardware, and consumables to production teams according to repair requirements.
8. Perform cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliation activities.
9. Assist with investigations of inventory discrepancies and material shortages.
10. Monitor shelf-life controlled materials and ensure proper rotation of stock (FIFO/FEFO).
11. Maintain traceability records for aerospace components, including certificates of conformity, airworthiness documentation, and batch / lot control on LAN.
12. Maintain clean, organized, and audit-ready stockroom conditions.
13. Support shipping, packaging, and internal logistics activities as needed.
14. Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and regulatory compliance requirements as defined in RSQM.
15. Other duties as needed or assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence) and 2 years of stockroom/supply chain experience preferred.
