Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire a Food Service Supervisor who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

The Food Service Supervisor will:
• Supervise all aspects of food production including menu planning, food preparation and quality to ensure client satisfaction and retention
• Support management in maintaining operations within the various segments of the department and their various responsibilities (Production/Patient Services/Retail)
• Provide direct supervision of staff performance to ensure accurate and timely service and client satisfaction and ensures products are produced on schedule and within appropriate food safety guidelines
• Supervisor is responsible for preparing food products/trays for patients, cafeteria, and catering as needed
• Support managers on changes of processes within the department and implementation of performance improvement strategies – assists in the training of new and existing team members and communication within the team
• Support cash handling and department supervision when assigned
• Be responsible for inventory control to reduce cost and waste – assures security of department
• Complete/verify all HACCP documentation of time and temperature. Maintains sanitation and safety standards within the operation
• Works collaboratively with peers, visitors, patients, management team, and other hospital staff

Qualified candidates will possess:
• High school or GED
• 1-2 Years hospital food service experience or Food service supervision experience
• Management/Supervisor: 1-2 Years Preferred
• ServSafe or be able to pass ServSafe within 60 days

Work Schedule:

• Employment Type: Full-time
• Hours per Week: 40 hrs/week
• Typical Daily Schedule: e.g. e.g. Monday 5:00am-1:30pm. (Tuesday off). Wednesday and Thursday  8:30 AM–5:00 PM and Weekends 11:30am-8:00pm
• Shift Type: Rotating
• Weekend Requirements: Required Every other weekend rotation
• Holiday Requirements: Required Follow company holiday calendar
• On-Call: no
• Shift Differential Eligible: Yes

Work Schedule: 40 Hours a week 8 hours shift there will be a rotation of three deferent shift during the week 1 or 2 Opening shift 2 med shift and 1 closing shift and must be able to work every other Weekend.

Pay Range:

$19.21 - $24.90

If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.

Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), this position is classified as:

United States of America (Non-Exempt)
