Job Description

Under general direction, provides direct ongoing supervision to other IS Engineers. and/or provides technical leadership and direction and assumes technical responsibility for completion of major projects or serves as the top technical authority for one or more related specialties. Performs and reviews complex work involving analysis, planning, designing, implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting and enhancement of complex large systems or networks consisting of a combination that may include LANS, WANs and the physical and logical components that integrate these systems together as an enterprise networking backbone. Serves as the lead technical architect and systems integrator for large complex systems or networks. 

Essential Duties Include: 

  • Design, deploy, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including Cisco Catalyst 9XXX, Cisco Nexus, ASA55XX, Cisco VPN Appliances, Cisco/Meraki Wi-Fi, Cisco ACI Fabric, and Cisco ISE.
  • Configure and support security technologies such as Palo Alto NGFW, Palo Alto GlobalProtect, and CISCO ASA.
  • Utilize and manage DNS/DHCP services using Infoblox in complex enterprise environments.
  • Design and implement enterprise-level routing protocols, including OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
  • Apply advanced understanding of all layers of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model when diagnosing, designing, and optimizing network performance.
  • Integrate, test, implement, and enhance the physical and logical components of complex systems and networks across multiple platforms and technologies.
  • Perform advanced network diagnostics using tools such as Fluke network analyzers and other industry-standard troubleshooting utilities.
  • Manage and deploy fabric-enabled networks using Cisco DNAC and related orchestration platforms.
  • Oversee disaster recovery planning, network backup procedures, and enforcement of security policies.
  • Provide Network support after-hours on-call rotation to ensure system availability and performance.
  • Validate network specifications and equipment configurations in accordance with business requirements, standard operating procedures, and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Systems Engineers, Cybersecurity staff, Application Developers, and Network Operations to ensure seamless integration of services.
