As a Head of Sales Industrial Formulators, Care Chemicals, BASF (Remote), You Create Chemistry By...
As Head of Sales, Industrial Formulators, you will lead all sales efforts for BASF into the various North American Industrial Formulators markets, including agriculture, construction, chemical processing, and upstream ingredient providers to the CASE market.
You will lead a sales team in a growing market by understanding customers’ needs and driving the sales of a strategic, profitable product mix through collaboration with Product Management, Supply Chain, Marketing, Technical Service, and Research and Development. You will drive growth with customers while gathering market intelligence, building deep customer relationships, and building a robust NBD pipeline.

- Your demonstrated leadership experience will be critical in developing, mentoring and motivating a team of Account Managers to grow our North American Industrial Formulators business; you will build and nurture a team where inclusion and a sense of belonging is seen and felt within the team and larger organization.
- Your professional selling, negotiation, and analytical skills will be valued as you cultivate high-level relationships with customers, while networking with potential future customers.
- Your established sales/account management capabilities will be critical as you identify, promote, capture and drive new opportunities to closure through strong pipeline management.
- Your strong business acumen will be essential as you direct the strategic development of regional account strategies ensuring account plans are fully executed with internal and external stakeholders.
- Your strategic vision will allow you to set short & long-term growth targets, monitor performance and initiate corrective actions, collaborating across functions at various levels, ensuring alignment of targets and activities across EM.
- Your ability to seek opinions from others will contribute to identifying and implementing new ideas, improving critical relationships and driving growth across Industrial Formulators markets
- Your proven and impactful business analysis will be relied on to direct the development and maintenance of long-range operational forecasts regarding volumes, market share, financial requirements and resource needs, and to monitor the projected effects of forecasts on the business sector’s investments and earnings.
- You will partner across the business with decision-making power, steering account managers, resource management, and the division of team responsibilities, optimizing customer-facing time.
- Your solid relationship-building skills will be crucial as you will serve as the key contact for problem escalation and resolution with customers.
- Having in person visits to customers and BASF sites with an expectation of up to 50% overnight travel.
