Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Network Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to design and configure security network infrastructure to ensure reliability, efficiency, and security for network operations.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Serves as the lead Network Engineer to manage all team tasks.
• Coordinates with system engineering and dataflow efforts to ensure proper mission operations and minimize downtime.
• Designs solutions, integrates, configures, deploys, tests, and provides ongoing maintenance for various network devices, interfaces, and methodologies.
• Develops potential courses of action and briefs them to the customer for decision-making.
• Executes system hardening.
• Assists in all aspects of network management, including design, implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of existing networks.
• Develops, revises, and updates standard operating procedures (SOPs) for maintenance on associated systems and network assets.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and at least 8+ years of related professional experience.
• Windows Server (Active Directory, Group Policy, STIG compliance)

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Network Protocols & Services Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NTP, SNMP, etc.
• Routing & Switching Configuration and troubleshooting of routers and switches (e.g., Cisco IOS/NX-OS, VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP).
• Firewall & Security Appliances Experience with firewalls (e.g., ASA, Palo Alto, FortiGate), VPNs, ACLs, IDS/IPS.
• System Administration Managing Windows Server and/or Linux environments (AD, Group Policy, file services, permissions).
• Virtualization Proficiency in VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM technologies.
• Monitoring & Logging Use of tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, ELK stack, or Splunk.
• Scripting & Automation Familiarity with PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Ansible for task automation.
• Backup & Disaster Recovery Planning and maintaining backup systems and DR plans (Veeam, Commvault, etc.).
• Cloud Services Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including hybrid network setups.
• Patch Management & Endpoint Security Ensuring systems are updated and secure from vulnerabilities.

Security Clearance Requirement:

An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.​

Salary Range: $100,900.00 - $176,600.00
