About the role

Position Description

Oversees and leads all aspects of the Engine Regulatory Compliance Teams to ensure that business operations, products and services are compliant with applicable global regulations and industry standards for both products and facilities. Advises the company on emerging emissions, environmental, and related product standards and/or regulations impacting our products and their adoption.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Leads strategic and long term planning to align corporate-wide Regulatory Compliance requirements, systems, training and support with company strategic goals and industry standards
  2. Develops systems and strategies to assess and reduce non-compliance exposures and minimize risk; provides global regulatory interpretations and guidance to all businesses
  3. Works with company leadership to evaluate proposed regulations and advocate directly and through trade organization on changes to standards impacting our industry.
  4. Ensures all product certifications and emissions permits are obtained and remain current 5. Oversees field campaigns and recall efforts in connection with governmental and internal policies.
  5. Prepares the budget for engine emissions to meet corporate requirements
  6. Provides business leaders with timely communication on regulatory developments and updates, through presentations and key business platform and planning meetings
  7. Represents the company with governmental agencies, trade and industry organizations regarding emission, regulatory and related product compliance, and supports customer inquiries on compliance related matters
  8. Directs the work of groups of employees and leads through managers
  9. Performs other duties as assigned

Job Skills Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of global emissions, environmental, and related product compliance standards and/or regulations
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Experience in site inspection, answering interrogatories, production of documents and testifying via depositions and/or court
  • Experience conveying technical presentations and using spreadsheet, database and word processing software
  • Ability to stimulate change, motivate staff and establish effective networks within the company and with external organizations
  • Ability to develop and maintain capital and operational budgets
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent education and experience

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years working experience in a related field
  • Previous leadership experience

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Domestic and/or International travel as required up to 30%
