Victor is seeking candidates for our Senior Underwriting Assistant position based in Bethesda, Maryland

The Senior Underwriting Assistant will support Cyber Liability and Kidnap & Ransom in areas including underwriting, distribution, marketing, and operations. You will join a team of seasoned professionals who will provide support and training allowing you to excel at Victor, the world’s largest managing general underwriter.

We will count on you to:
- Review new business applications and contact plan advisors/brokers/underwriters to obtain missing information in a timely manner to support the growth of new business accounts.
- Aid in processing administrative underwriting tasks including, BOR changes, binders, and policy issuance.
- Work closely with team members to build processes to ensure focus on enhancing the customer experience.
- Follow up on outstanding requests such as change requests, signature endorsements, accounts receivables, etc., to support the underwriters business accounts.
- Apply functional understanding and technical knowledge of applicable underwriting procedures and policies to support professional staff.
What you need to have:
- Bachelor Degree
- Internship in the insurance industry or 0-2 years professional insurance experience preferred
- Strong analytical aptitude and critical thinking as demonstrated through work assignments
- Proficient skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Detail orientation and a desire to learn
- Ability to build strong relationships and build rapport with internal colleagues, brokers and carriers
