PURPOSE
Assist the Sr. Associate Athletic Director for Programs & Events in executing donor-centric special events, gameday hospitality, and athletic department fundraising efforts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Functional Area 1: Departmental Events 60%
Assist with the execution of various Islanders Athletic donor events including but not limited to signature athletic department fundraising events, luncheons, social/happy hours, watch parties, and tailgating.
Coordinate solicitation for Casino Night silent auction items and building the online auction platform
Assist in solicitation of event sales utilizing social media, e-blasts, etc.
Help track event-related tasks including, but not limited to, budget tracking, list management, and event RSVPs
Functional Area 2: Annual Giving Support 20%
In collaboration with Annual Giving colleagues, support all fulfillment of donor-related benefits and stewardship efforts, as outlined in the benefits chart
Support game day hospitality.
Assist with coordination of Annual Giving communications and appeals
Special Events 15%
Attend and assist at designated Islanders Athletics and University Institutional Advancement events as appropriate
Other Duties 5%
Other duties as assigned by the VP for Student Engagement and Success & Intercollegiate Athletics or Deputy AD / AVP for Intercollegiate Athletics
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field.
Two (2) years related experience.
Additional education/experience may be considered as a substitute for the minimum qualifications that are required:
High school diploma/GED with six (6) years of related experience
Associate’s degree in applicable field with four (4) years of related experience
