About the role

Position Overview

The Inventory Control Analyst will play an integral role in supporting manufacturing operations by ensuring the accuracy and integrity of daily production and inventory reporting. This position requires strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, as the ability to work cross- functionally to identify discrepancies, resolve issues and drive process improvements. This position will also provide support to the Process Safety Management Program.

This is a fully on-site role. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, prior experience working in a manufacturing environment using an ERP system, and basic knowledge of production reporting principles.

Production and Inventory Control

  • Accurate and timely WIP (work in process) and FG (finished good) production reporting transactions 
  • Review FG (finished good) and RM (raw material) exception reports from auto RAF (reports as finished) transactions and work cross functionally to resolve discrepancies on a daily basis
  • Attend Shrink Reduction Meetings
  • Review and resolve variances identified on Shrink report
  • Develop and or monitor key KPI’s related to usage levels
  • Audit production procedures as needed to assure proper usage of ingredients and packaging
  • Prepare for a weekly closing of production, requiring material variance report. This involves holistic review by item and appropriate moves to prod stage.
  • Assist in researching and resolving inventory variances from transactions not being reported correctly and from additional data/control points (including but not limited to alert notifications)
  • Strive to control system wide inventory loss to below 1% 
  • Audit BOMs (bill of materials) and assist in validation, correction as needed
  • Work with Production and Warehouse teams as needed
  • Oversee inventory reporting according to company guidelines
  • Oversee maintenance of transactional inventory records - including inventory adjustments, cycle counts, LPN data, location moves, etc., as performed by inventory and warehouse teams
  • Attend Plant and SC DOM meetings for awareness and to communicate proper inventory control practices
  • Owner of Inventory data to ensure that processes and systems are accurate and in-sync, such as, but not limited to
    • Oversee Reconciliation of AX vs Blue Yonder PO integration failures
    • Oversee Reconciliation of AX vs Blue Yonder 3PL inventory
    • Oversee Reconciliation of pass-through, audit and prod-stage locations across all warehouses and production facilities.
      • Above reconciliation will be assisted by daily review by Warehouse stakeholders
    • Reconcile CONFStage locations.
  • Be an active leader in the Month-End (ME) inventory review meetings
    • Oversee accurate ME Inventory counting performed by Warehouse stakeholders and make recommendations for improvements when required. 
    • Assist in prep work and ME clean-up
    • Will review and post ME Inventory Control Journals for 3PLs and other outside facilities as well as Plant locations (Prodstage, Lab, Chemicals, etc.)
  • Build a clear understanding of all inventory & manufacturing related processes on all inventory-based systems and devices (DAX, BY, RAMS for WUI, GUI, RF)
    • Warehouse to warehouse transfers & location to location moves
    • Inventory Adjustments
    • Material consumption
    • FG confirmations
    • Expiring ingredient/finished goods programs 
    • Disposal/donations program
    • Sales of parts to customers including the creation of invoice for ingredients sold 
    • Receipt of POs in systems to reconcile Integration errors


Process Safety Management

  • Provide administrative support for Process Safety Management (PSM) programs and related documentation
  • Maintain, organize, and archive PSM and non-PSM records in electronic document management systems
  • Coordinate distribution and collection of contractor qualification and compliance documentation
  • Track and manage employee training records and maintenance-related documentation
  • Assist with document uploads, scanning, and data entry to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
  • Support payroll and HR processes by tracking allowances and submitting required documentation
  • Organize and upload maintenance manuals and technical documents to shared network drives
  • Ensure documentation is properly filed, accessible, and compliant with company policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned
