Key Responsibilities

• Network Support: Serve as the primary contact for network troubleshooting, ensuring seamless WAN/LAN operations.
• Security Operations: Manage day-to-day information security tasks, collaborating with our Managed Security Services Provider to monitor and respond to threats.
• Policy Development: Create and document standard operating procedures and develop a security roadmap aligned with CIS controls.
• Threat Management: Monitor emerging threats, assess their impact, and participate in vulnerability detection and remediation.
• Security Solutions: Evaluate, deploy, and maintain advanced security tools and solutions to protect our infrastructure.
• Reporting & Documentation: Develop comprehensive security performance reports and maintain detailed metrics for systems and processes.
• Incident Response: Create and implement Incident Response (IR) plans and playbooks, assisting with active incident management.
• Training & Awareness: Manage internal phishing simulations and security awareness training programs to educate and protect our team.
• Collaboration: Work with IT teams to ensure security best practices are integrated across the organization.

Requirements

What You’ll Need

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Experience:
• 5-8 years in networking, with hands-on experience using Cisco or Fortinet equipment.
• Strong understanding of VLANs, firewall rules, network routing, and Information Security practices.
• Proficiency with Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365 (M365) technology, and security features.
• Familiarity with CIS Critical Security Controls or similar frameworks.
• Knowledge of Anti-Virus, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and the OSI model.
• Experience with Windows Active Directory and Group Policy management.
• Certifications:
• Mandatory: Security+, Network+
• Desired: Microsoft Security, Fortinet, Cisco (CCNA, CCNP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform on-site inspections, including lifting up to 50 pounds and frequent mobility across construction sites.
