About the role

Title:               Assistant Athletic Trainer

Position:         Full-Time

Reports To:    Head Athletic Trainer              

Responsibilities:

  • Provides comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletically injured student-athletes, in conjunction with appropriate medical personnel
  • Direct sport supervision for assigned teams: Men’s Basketball, Softball (Subject to change based on department need)
  • Secondary assistant to the Head Athletic Trainer for Football
  • Primary sports responsibilities include attending practices, games, travel, and emergency preparation.
  • Complete comprehensive and confidential record keeping, including injury reports, daily treatment logs, pre-participation histories and physicals, documentation or personal information
  • Daily maintenance and organization of the athletic training facilities
  • Maintain an appropriate certification and licensure with NATABOC and State of New York
  • Administrative duties including, but not limited to, assisting with insurance paperwork/claims and processing NCAA paperwork
