JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Behrend's Office of Educational Equity and Diversity Programs is currently accepting applications for a part-time Disability Services Support Staff (15 Hrs/Wk).

Primary duties include:

  • Providing one-on-one support and follow-up to students in need of developing and implementing executive skills such as planning, organization, time management, etc.
  • Organize programming and other forms of outreach to educate and bring awareness to the campus community about disability topics and services
  • Serve as co-advisor to the Disability Awareness and Resources for Equity (DARE) student organization
  • Provide additional support to the Office of Disability Services as needed and assigned
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills as well as sensitivity to diverse populations is a must
  • Ability to work independently and as a team-member
  • Hours are flexible, but ideally between the 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m./Monday through Friday time frame

Typically requires a High School diploma plus one year of work-related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
