About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager with a strong background in Construction Quality Management (CQM) to lead and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities meet quality standards, are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budget, and resource allocation. Define project goals, deliverables, and success criteria.
  • Quality Management: Implement and oversee Construction Quality Management (CQM) processes. Ensure all construction activities comply with quality standards and specifications. Conduct regular quality audits and inspections.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage project teams, including contractors, subcontractors, and internal staff. Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets. Monitor and control expenditures to ensure projects are completed within budget. Identify and address any financial issues or discrepancies.
  • Schedule Management: Create and maintain detailed project schedules. Monitor progress and ensure all project milestones and deadlines are met. Implement corrective actions to address any delays or issues.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor risks throughout the project lifecycle and implement contingency plans as necessary.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory agencies. Provide regular updates on project status and address any concerns.
  • Compliance: Ensure all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies and safety standards. Conduct regular safety audits and implement measures to minimize risks.
  • Documentation: Maintain organized and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, and reports. Ensure all documents are properly archived and accessible.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving construction processes and practices. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on quality management.
  • Strong knowledge of Construction Quality Management (CQM) principles and practices.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera) and construction management tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CCM, LEED AP) are a plus.
