As our next Systems Engineer Co-op, you'll immerse yourself in the intricacies to support a team that produces products that are vital to national defense.
You do not have to have previous experience; we will provide the training and tools to help grow the skills you will need. You will learn from the best and brightest in the communications and nuclear deterrence domain. This position is located in Richardson, TX.
Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run May/June- December (including the Fall semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).
What You Will Do:
Creation, decomposition, and tracing of requirements for communications systems on military platforms, both air and ground applications.
Work with a model-based systems engineering application to create the logical and physical design diagrams.
Perform integration and testing for these communications solutions.
Support future bids and proposals providing new business opportunities.
What You Will Learn:
How to use requirements management tools, such as DOORS and/or JAMA.
How to create SysML diagrams using model-based systems engineering applications.
How to write and execute test cases for communications solutions.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
