Occupational Summary
The Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI) has an immediate opening for a Senior Recruiter who will have the opportunity to work at a mission driven organization focused on improving the health of people around the world. The Senior Recruiter is an integral member of the Talent Acquisition team responsible for building talent pools and providing full life cycle recruitment for a variety of roles ranging from entry-level to executive level positions in the Clinical Research space. They will create and execute innovative recruitment strategies aligned with DCRI’s goals and mission to identify and attract premium talent.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, capable of delivering results quickly in a dynamic, fast paced, diverse setting, and possess creative problem-solving skills.
This position can be based in North Carolina, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Maine, Montana, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington (State), and Washington, DC with a strong preference for the East Coast.
Core Job Responsibilities
- Oversees the complete candidate management process from initial contact to hire date, advising hiring managers on staffing and recruitment policies and procedures ensuring compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and employment laws.
- Recruits, screens and recommends placement of candidates for professional and technical staff positions from both internal and external sources.
- Provides high customer service, consulting with hiring managers on staffing issues and recruitment strategies, understanding their needs, and pursuing qualified candidates with vigor.
- Collaborates with hiring managers, the Talent Acquisition team and leadership to develop and execute effective recruiting strategies for positions that are in high demand or challenging to fill.
- Support Managers in creating position-specific screening questionnaires and updating position descriptions for postings to clearly highlight key aspects, ensuring they attract the right candidates.
- Engages in business strategy discussions to refine recruitment processes and devise innovative ways to attract premium talent.
- Demonstrates a proactive approach in sourcing passive candidates, creating talent pipelines, and nurturing candidate relationships to meet tight recruitment deadlines.
- Develops and deploys sourcing strategies by researching, networking, and building candidate pools to identify talent profiles.
- Determines the optimal combination of job boards, web searches, referrals, and industry contacts to locate candidates.
- Contributes to decision-making regarding staffing and continuous process improvement by reporting on and interpreting data. Participates in the communication of analyses to hiring managers.
- Coordinates with compensation team in advising functional groups on salary considerations and equity.
