Sr Lead Info Security Program Manager

The Sr Lead Info Security Program Manager job is responsible for leading the transition from traditional program management to Agile methodologies within the Cybersecurity organization in coordination with the enterprise Agile Capabilities Center. This role will initially operate within the traditional program management framework and gradually drive the adoption of Agile practices and principles across projects and programs. Leading a team of experienced professionals, the Agile Program Management Leader navigates complex projects while strategically implementing Agile frameworks and fostering a culture of agility and innovation. This role requires a deep understanding of traditional program management, Agile methodologies, and how to lead the transition from traditional to Agile. This job also sets policy and strategy for short-term goals, as well as goals and objectives for team members and provides coaching and feedback to help employees reach these goals.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Initially operate within traditional program management practices – which includes managing an established program plan containing many projects, supervising progress and performance, developing project/program schedules, and determining resource requirements to ensure program success – while strategizing and planning for the transition to Agile methodologies.
- Maintain the standards of tradition program/project management that currently exist in the org to avoid excess disruption by the Agile transformation through extensive knowledge and experience in program management practices, leading project meetings and preparing regular reports to ensure the program is successful.
- Develop and implement a phased approach to Agile transformation across projects and programs in partnership with the enterprise Agile Capabilities Center.
- Communicate regularly with senior leadership and relevant stakeholders to provide updates on the program’s status within and beyond the project teams as well as the progress of the Agile transformation initiatives and outcomes, adjusting strategies as needed to drive continuous improvement.
- Supervises the activities of outside contractors to ensure they are integrated into the projects and that the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.
- Manage an Agile team of Scrum Masters and Business Analysts while coaching and mentoring project teams, Scrum Masters, and other stakeholders on Agile best practices and mindset.
- Liaises with other operational areas and collaborates with stakeholders in the organization to ensure alignment, foster support for Agile initiatives, and secure specialized resources and contributions for the project program.
- Support the quarterly development of program status updates delivered to executive leadership, including various Boards/Committees.
- Establish Agile frameworks, processes, and tools tailored to the organization's unique needs and goals while partnering with the Agile Capabilities Center to stay in alignment with the enterprise direction for Agile.
- Champion the benefits of Agile methodologies and advocate for their adoption throughout the organization, gradually shifting from traditional program management to Agile practices over time while fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, and adaptability.
- Capacity and Financial Planning: Estimates and monitors the costs, resources, and time required to complete each phase of a project and allocates resources and tasks to ensure these targets are met, typically delegating responsibility to experienced professionals who have shown independence in prior assignments.
- Manage Clarity time management allocations and reporting for large groups of employees and contractors.
- Manages performance of team through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of exceptional products and engagement, motivation, and development of the team.
