Job Summary
The Senior Category Manager in procurement is responsible for operational, analytical, and strategic sourcing execution for Resin (PET currently, may expand to PE and/or PP resins), supporting all of Coca-Cola’s US and Canadian Bottlers. The candidate will be instrumental in leading procurement efforts aligned with The Coca-Cola Company’s World Without Waste initiative, designed to increase recycled content in all packages to >50%. Additionally, he/she will be a leader who can contribute to the overall success of CCBSS and collaborate cross-functionally, across all levels, within the Bottling and CCNA network.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze data to drive fact-based decision-making and increase value via negotiations and the 7-step sourcing process
- Develop Category Strategy, Negotiations, Supply Agreements, and Financial Reporting for spend under responsibility
- Connect, gather, and align business needs with key stakeholders within R&D, CEPG (Cross-Enterprise Procurement Group), Commercial Product Supply, CCBSS (Coca-Cola Bottlers’ Sales and Services), CCNA (Coca-Cola North America), and our Bottling Partners
- Manage complex supplier relationships to maximize value for the business
- Proactively resolve or manage the resolution of day-to-day procurement-related issues.
- Accountable for coaching Procurement Sr. Specialist to ensure timely Accounts Payable system set-up (pricing, etc.), maintenance, and P2P reconciliations
- Help identify and implement process improvements to procurement change management (i.e. clear communication to stakeholders)
Key Skills and Abilities
- Subject matter expertise in standard analytical tools (i.e. Excel/Access)
- Proven success in managing highly complex data; ability to present concise information
- Excellent negotiating, analytical thinking with attention to detail
- Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to establish collaborative relationships with suppliers and key stakeholders
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to influence others in a collaborative way
- Learning and adapting agility, with demonstrated ability to learn and influence different areas of the business in a successful way
- Demonstrated attention to detail, analytical skills, and an understanding of budgets/corporate finances
Education Requirements
Minimum - 4 Year / Bachelors Degree
Years of Experience
Minimum - 5-7 years Supply Chain, Business Management, Finance or equivalent work experience
Required Travel
Travel is not expected in this job, however, employees may be asked to travel for meetings or training on occasion.
Hybrid Work Environment
CCBSS operates a hybrid working environment. This is a teleworking role that requires working at a CCBSS office location on a regular basis (or a minimum number of days per month or week) at the manager’s discretion. The number of days required at a CCBSS office location is at the manager’s discretion and is subject to change depending on business needs.
