The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the analysis, classification, disposition, distribution, storage, segregation and identification of supplies, materials, and equipment in Bucknell’s warehouse. This position is responsible for maintaining inventories and accounting for materials. The position reports directly to the Associate Director of Operations and is responsible for the supervision of the warehouse employees.This is a full-time (40 hours) staff, non-exempt (hourly) position based on Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.
Job Duties:
Oversees, manages, and coordinates the daily operations of the warehouse. Maintains records of storage areas showing location, designation, identification and classification of items stored within each. Analyzes data for the optimum storage of materials, supplies and equipment and makes decisions regarding the most efficient use of warehouse space.
Maintains and controls stock levels for items used by the Facilities Department. Institutes and administers inventory control and warehouse methods and systems. Conducts physical inventories of materials, supplies, and equipment.
Classifies materials, segregating according to hazards, value, serviceability, accessibility, etc. Coordinates the disposal of items no longer needed. Advises and assists in planning for future storage facilities.
Supervises and assists staff in executing the daily operations of the warehouse. Supervise and provide direction to staff including, but not limited to, providing technical direction, preparing and delivering annual performance reviews, enforcing work rules, rules of conduct, performance standards and University and department policies, procedures and regulations. Trains or direct training to develop their maximum effectiveness and potential.
Works with others as a team member or team leader in coordinating services throughout the campus as needed. Receives, offloads, stores, and delivers material to offices and departments across campus. Performs other duties as assigned in support of Bucknell University operations and special events. Provides support for outdoor events and activities across campus, to include small event set up and tear down.
Adheres to OSHA standards, employs safe practices, and follows safety policies/procedures. Uses PPE in a safe manner, sets example for others and ensures others also use PPE. Notifies supervisor of potential hazards, and demonstrates good housekeeping habits. Ensures that the work methods are current and that tools and equipment are available, in good repair, and used effectively.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Three years of warehouse experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- One year of supervisory experience
Physical Demands:
- Able to kneel, squat, crouch, crawl
- Able to use a shovel.
- Able to lift over 50 pounds

22.70-28.38The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidate's credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy.
