The HOPD Medical Assistant (MA) is responsible for patient care activities under the delegation and supervision of the HOPD Oncology RN and Practice Manager. Duties include, but are not limited to the following: obtaining patient medical history information, expediting patient flow, rooming patients, stocking supplies, and navigating electronic health record system (EPIC), The MA functions as a member of the healthcare team with responsibilities commensurate with training and demonstrated competencies. Direct patient care is provided for adult patients of all ages.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic Life Support and other advanced training as appropriate
- Basic computer skills, specifically with navigating within databases containing highly confidential information
