Job Title: 2nd/3rd Shift Maintenance Technician
Department: Maintenance
Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Location: Hilbert, WI
Role Overview
The maintenance technician works in conjunction with other members of the maintenance department to ensure production schedules and quality standards are met with little downtime through preventative and multi-craft maintenance. This position will perform a wide variety of highly skilled maintenance work to maintain building and property maintenance, electrical systems, heating and cooling systems, plumbing, machine repair, hydraulics and pneumatics and any other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities

Perform all duties in a safe manner.

Performs highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and plant facility equipment.

Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment.

Utiliizes skills and experiences including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and troubleshooting and repair of production machines.

Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.

Performs regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.

Uses a variety of hand and power tools, inspection equipment, and material handling equipment.

Detects fault operations, defective machines and reports those and any usual situations to proper supervisor.

Assures compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures and with applicable federal, state, and local codes, regulations, and requirements, as well as Ornua’s company policies and procedures.

Ensures company policies and procedures are followed.

Assists others as needed.

Maintains a clean and safe work area.

Performs any additional duties as required and assigned.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills

Associates degree or certification preferred but not required
-
At least 5 years’ experience in industrial manufacturing maintenance strongly preferred.

Electrical experience required

HVAC experience a plus

A strong understanding of electrical concepts and advanced fabrication and welding

Must have a basic understanding of plumbing, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical schematics

Possess good problem-solving skills and safety practices

Able to read and comprehend standard operating procedures

Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally
