Job Description

Platform PMO Lead will be an integral part of our Platform Commercialization and Operations team supporting the Product Management organization to ensure superior operational delivery of 'platform as a product' commercialization initiatives. In this role, you will be part of a larger strategic initiative helping to project/program manage various components of a cross-functional program that includes, but is not limited to, the following lifecycle activities: commercialization requirements, product/platform integration requirements, build, training, legal, marketing, servicing/operations and go-to-market activities, and communication. Additional tasks include providing regular status reporting, platform roadmap updates, supporting the change management process, assist with annual planning, and other responsibilities as assigned. This position will include interacting directly with Product Managers, Product Development, Marketing, Sales, Client Services, and Visa cross-functional teams in a Global environment. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with strong program management qualities that can work independently in a fast paced, ambiguous environment with limited supervision. He or she must be a fast learner who can quickly absorb the nuances of complex, varied payment offerings.  

The Platform PMO Lead will be part of a team responsible for defining a comprehensive operating model for Visa Acceptance Platform to expand its footprint to Acceptance and other Visa products and partners. The role will work closely with the Visa Acceptance Platform product management and development organizations in delivering requirements, tracking execution and in commercializing products in-market.  

Responsibilities will include:

  • The Platform PMO Lead will lead project and program planning activities and facilitate meetings, ensuring the cross-functional project team delivers against its commitments with the highest quality deliverables in a timely fashion
  • Maintain, communicate, and execute against a prioritized onboarding product roadmap for an overarching Visa Acceptance Platform strategy
  • Leveraging strong project management industry expertise and collaboration skills, identify required activities to successfully deliver the program, ensuring appropriate task assignments are in place
  • Follow defined commercialization requirements to ensure appropriate Acceptance and Visa Stakeholder involvement is in place
  • Report and escalate issues, with mitigation and path to resolution
  • Identify risks, perform risk analysis, escalating as appropriate. Follow defined Risk Management processes
  • Oversee and ensure all status materials are compiled and completed in a timely fashion Document and distribute project and activity status on regular basis to the Program team.
  • Assess existing processes and identify opportunity for improvement
  • Participate in other project related activities, as requested
  • Evangelize Visa Acceptance Platform capabilities and work closely with Sales,  Client Services and other groups to drive product market launches and partner onboarding
  • Experience in dealing and addressing groups or clients in contentious discussions.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of
experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience
with a PhD
