Head of Global Talent Management and Development

The Head of Global Talent Management and Development will serve as a strategic leader and business partner focused on building and executing a global talent strategy. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who oversees team development and performance,  leadership development and is broadly responsible for talent management and learning solutions for the enterprise. The Head of Global Talent Management and Development  develops and enhances metrics in order to understand the impact of talent initiatives and drive continuous improvement. The successful candidate for this role will have a customer-centric mindset, apply data driven methodologies and leverage innovation and best practices to help build and scale a high performing team and talent strategy that enables business success.

What You'll Do

  • Drive strategy and execution of designing and developing high performing teams.  
  • Drive the transformation and execution of talent management programs and practices, including goal setting, performance reviews, succession planning, promotion process, and mentoring for all employee segments
  • Develop the performance management, workforce, and talent management strategy 
  • Lead the executive, leadership and professional development priorities for the organization necessary to support achievement of short and long-term business priorities
  • Assess, evaluate, and recommend tools, applications and technologies that will help to standardize and automate processes and create organizational efficiency
  • Develop and execute a formal and transparent talent management process that enables employees to build and develop their careers
  • Assess, report, and deliver critical data/metrics related to talent processes to key leaders and stakeholders across the business that measure performance against our established goals
  • Evaluate and make recommendations on training programs in partnership with business unit leaders and work together to develop learning experiences for all functions of the organization
  • Inspire and lead a team of talent management and development professionals

Work Hours: This position will require you to be available during core business hours.

What We're Looking For

Basic Qualifications:

  • You have a strong track record in rolling out new programs and strategies, dealing with a wide range of internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Highly experienced in complex change management – across multiple employee segments, geographies and business functions
  • Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills. Strong attention to detail with a creativity
  • MBA or Graduate degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources or equivalent discipline is preferred
  • 15+ years of relevant work experience in talent management, talent development, and learning
  • Strong people manager; highly skilled with developing team/direct reports

  • You operate with a customer-centric mindset – capable of balancing competing demands and priorities
  • Excellent executive presence and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • High degree of motivation and learning agility; ability to creatively multitask while managing deadlines and perform under pressure

Fastly currently embraces a largely hybrid model for most roles which allows employees flexibility to split their time between the office and home.  

This position may require travel as required by your role or requested by your manager.

Salary

The estimated salary range for this position is $194,040 to $256,820. Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualificatio
