General Notes

This is a grant-funded position and reassignment will be based upon performance, progress toward research goals and continuation of funding.

Responsibilities

  • Process service payments for sub-awards, consultants, service agreements, vendors and other payment types in the *DEFINE system.

  • Process travel requests, reimbursements, purchase orders, amendments and cancellations in the *DEFINE system.

  • Process Cash Advance and Tango requests and reconciliations in accordance with The University of Texas at Austin policies, rules and regulations.

  • Assist in reconciliation of the Office of the Associate Dean for Research (OADR) Clearing Account on a monthly basis.

  • Assist in reviewing messages sent to centralized email address and forwarding to account managers accordingly.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. Experience working at an institute of higher education and/or with research accounts. Experience in *DEFINE and/or Workday. Accounting or bookkeeping experience. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to take initiative. Excellent problem solving skills. Ability to process multi-faceted information. Capable of monitoring information for high-volume, fast-paced research office. Excellent time-management skills. Values the contributions of others in the work environment.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Salary Range

$45,000 + depending on qualifications

Working Conditions

  • May work around standard office conditions.

  • Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.

  • Ability to work remotely.
