VDC Intern - Minneapolis

Job Description:

Ryan Companies has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a VDC Engineer Intern! This position is available as a summer internship running from May to August or a spring co-op running May to December. 

Job Responsibilities: 

• Assist the project team in the completion of designated projects while focusing on learning construction industry processes, procedures, and Ryan business policies. 

• Gain a working understanding of Building Information Modeling (BIM) administration, coordination, and model management.  

• Develop a first-hand understanding of providing models and documents to the construction team, providing BIM technical support and maintaining a productive and efficient BIM process. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent 

• Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Construction Engineering/Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, BIM Management or a closely related field.  

• Able to work 40 hours per week 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• At least one summer of construction, architecture, engineering or BIM related work experience. 

• Have a general knowledge of BIM, construction, scheduling and 3D modeling.  

• Can read and understand specifications, schedules, and architectural and engineering drawings 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills 

Eligibility: 

• Positions require verification of employment eligibility to work in the U.S. 

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. 

Compensation: 

The hourly wage is $20-$25/hour . The hourly rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities.
