Summary
The Marketing Specialist will support and execute digital marketing tactics in partnership with agency partners to drive growth for the company’s energy business, including refined fuels, lubricants and propane through online engagement with customers. Through collaboration and communication with product and business teams, the Marketing Specialist will help ensure alignment with our purpose of creating connections to empower agriculture, company strategies and priorities and with business and product goals. This person will execute campaigns and materials, quarterly and monthly analytics reports, presentations, strategic content opportunities and other promotional tactics to help to drive growth in the CHS energy business and increase awareness and preference for the Cenex® brand.
The Marketing Specialist will utilize the latest marketing strategies, trends and best practices to produce campaigns and other marketing tactics that generate results, leveraging both internal and external (e.g., agencies) expertise.
Responsibilities
- Collaboratively support and drive digital campaigns in collaboration with business and product teams.
- Provide innovative and effective marketing solutions to create awareness, preference and demand for CHS energy and Cenex® branded products and services.
- Lead the strategic development of new pages and in-depth user experience analysis to increase growth to owned media channels.
- Understand the energy platform, product lines and customers to ensure marketing strategies and tactics align with business and customer needs.
- Ensure effective ongoing communication and collaboration to inform, build trust, ensure alignment, achieve objectives and deliver results.
- Act as a strategic advisor on analytics performance and recommend real time updates
- Collaborate with Marketing and PR colleagues to develop and implement strategic marketing plans for an identified list of campaigns and programs.
- Serve as a thought leader on digital marketing within the company, educating other departments on the value of digital marketing and promoting a data-driven culture across the organization.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of target customers, competitors, and industry trends to inform the development of effective digital marketing campaigns.
- Identify and target relevant keywords and key phrases to optimize website content, metadata, and overall structure for improved organic search rankings.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
- High School Degree/GED
- 4 years of progressively responsible experience in marketing, advertising and/or marketing communications.
- Proven project management skills.
- Delivers analysis/findings in a manner that conveys understanding, garners support for recommendations, drives business decisions, and influences business strategy.
- Written and verbal communications skills with demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, partners and suppliers.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage workload and work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong customer service orientation and skills.
Additional Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Communications, Communication Arts, Marketing, Journalism, Business, English, Public Relations, or related field
- (3) or more years of digital marketing experience
- (1-2) years of agency experience
- Experience with Sitecore, Google Analytics, HootSuite and SEMRush
- Subject matter experience and/or expertise in energy or agriculture sectors.
