About the Role

The Team Lead, Senior Events Planner exudes passion and a desire to craft strong brand experiences to life at Verisk. Whether it is leading a Verisk event or conference, considering a new Verisk experience in our offices, or piloting a new experiential technology to drive business value, this individual plays a critical role in championing experiential marketing efforts for Verisk to the Manager, Experiential Events.

 

The individual should have considerable proficiency marketing experiences, whether event planning, event execution, project management, data-driven event analytics or executive communications. They should be skilled in leading experiential event strategies across multiple business units and time zones; have demonstrated success guiding event strategy & execution for large, global organizations; and, be viewed as a trusted partner and advisor to senior leaders. They will be responsible for building strong relationships with a diverse group of leaders and key stakeholders within Marketing, Sales, Facilities, Human Resources, and business teams. S/he should have strong people skills and attention to detail, be well organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

The right candidate will have demonstrated teamwork and consensus building in his/her work accomplishments and the ability to adapt to an ever-evolving modern marketing landscape.  This role will deploy best practices in marketing and leadership, and collaborate with a team of highly-engaged, high-performing marketers.

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Drives the company’s enterprise-wide tradeshow and industry event participation, hosted in-person, virtual and experiential programs as the execution strategist and logistical planner partnering with the event owners
    • Partner with integrated marketing teams to identify, create and produce a broad spectrum of experiential programs from virtual marketing activations to a suite of in-person hosted and tradeshow experiences
    • Drive creative and brand strategy that results in compelling experiences that inspire audiences to connect, learn and collaborate
    • Develop, lead, and execute on-brand event and experiential marketing programs globally for all Verisk audiences, partnering and working closely with stakeholders to achieve data driven outcomes
  • External and Internal Experiences (Verisk-owned and Industry Events/Tradeshows)
    • Provide stakeholders with a balance of vision and tactics to help them meet their target audience objectives
    • Execute on skilled-level delivery and knowledge of best practices related to global event strategy, design, and execution, including large-scale in-person events and virtual events (including webinars and conferences)
    • Plan (with strong project management skills), deliver, and analyze experiential marketing efforts
    • Articulate the role and goal of digital and in-person experiences
    • Guide approach to internal events that expand to encompass experiences that build Verisk’s culture

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in events, marketing, or related field, or demonstrated equivalent in work experience
  • Corporate Events Professional (5+ years)
    • Proven success leading all aspects of events strategy (event feasibility, design, operations, on-site execution, evaluation) for global organizations
    • Demonstrated proficiency in leveraging event technologies to produce a high-quality, customer-centric experiences and to provide post-event data and metrics (Cvent and plus)
    • Experience managing tradeshow inventory (ExhibitForce a plus)
    • Skilled communicator effective at all levels of the organization
  • Data-driven mindset
    • Excellent data-first skills across tracking, measurement and analytics to deliver ROI, insights and strategy recommendations
    • Skilled in event monitoring and tracking tools
    • Experience building and monitoring dashboards that demonstrate ROI and business impact
  • Leadership of high-performance teams
    • Mentor a team of event planners who are responsible for end-to-end event marketing delivery, including project/budget management, executive engagement, logistical and operational elements, contracts and sponsorships
    • Trained manager of third-party partners with proficiency negotiating vendor contracts for all aspects of exhibits, sponsorships and event planning
