Program Description

We are considering candidates interested in joining the M&A Investment Banking Team based in San Francisco as part of TD Securities' 2025 Investment Banking Full-Time Analyst Program. 

TD Securities’ M&A Groups arededicated to strategic advisory and M&A execution principally within the healthcare (biopharma) and consumer sectors. The group focuses on a broad range of transaction types from traditional M&A to strategic partnerships.

Analysts can expect a fast-paced, demanding work environment that offers the opportunity to learn and grow professionally. Analysts work in small deal teams on a wide range of transactions. From initial client contact through closing a transaction, our analysts are an integral part of the transaction process; researching, valuing, pricing, marketing, and structuring transactions.

The Analyst Training Program, which begins in early July, provides a five-week introduction and orientation to the firm and its capabilities. The curriculum includes coursework in accounting, communication skills, debt and equity capital markets, Excel, financial analysis, modeling, and valuation.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Earn a Bachelor's Degree no later than June 2025.

  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Interest and/or have prior academic or work experience in Healthcare strongly preferred.

  • Strong academic performance, exceptional interpersonal skills, and superior analytical and communication skills.

  • The firm values individuals who are demonstrated team players and can interact with all levels of the organization, exhibit a common sense approach to problem solving and a strong desire to learn, in addition to showing initiative, integrity, and creativity

Depth & Scope:

  • Works within a deal team under the overall direction of a senior officer

  • Assists in the analysis of clients' financial situations, industry and market data, and M&A opportunities

  • Assists in valuations of private and public companies

  • Performs basic to intermediate financial modeling in Excel

  • Provides input to external client proposals and internal underwriting memos; assists in the preparation of client presentations based upon the above

  • Establishes an environment that promotes respect for the individual employee and adheres to the policies and guidelines of the Bank

  • Maintains confidentiality of client information

  • Experienced working professional level role providing a broad range of support to the team

Education & Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business (Accounting or Finance) or Mathematics/Economics;

  • Series 7, 79 and 63
