The Blue Wellness Coach is responsible for supporting health and wellness initiatives through health education and training for employees, groups, providers and community business partners in their region(s). The incumbent also provides education and coaching regarding healthy lifestyle practices and chronic health conditions in support of Corporate Health and Wellness initiatives. The incumbent works with individuals in various environments to assist in the identification and enhancement of behavior changes conducive to achieving and sustaining improved lifestyle and overall health.  

In the preventative realm, the Blue Wellness Coach focuses on establishing preventative health behaviors to help individuals reach sustainable and lasting changes. In the chronic realm, the Blue Wellness Coach focuses on establishing behaviors to slow down progression of chronic disease and improve overall health of individuals. The Blue Wellness Coach provides best practice coaching based on the targeted population and is able to evaluate data and outcomes to provide recommendations to further enhance programs.

Job-Specific Requirements:
 

•    Must have a Bachelor's degree.
•    Must be a Registered Dietitian
•    Experience providing health-related counseling to clients, understanding the importance of cultural competencies in addressing targeted populations required.
•  Strong communication and analytical skills to interpret and assess individuals and provide responses in a tactful, motivational manner are required.
•  Ability to document and organize work product to demonstrate conformance with corporate or regulatory requirements.
•    Excellent planning, problem solving, and analytical required. 
•  Willingness to travel within the state of Mississippi.
