Seeking a dynamic Human Resources Generalist to provide support to businesses HR legal, safety compliance and employee relations for a growing company. The HR Generalist responds directly to client inquiries, develops employee handbooks, job descriptions, file audits, etc. Need to be highly organized, able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment, and have strong computer skills in MS Office software, PowerPoint, and Excel. Direct Placement. 

 

Responsibilities

· Understanding of CA Labor law, wage & hour regulations and leaves of absence management.

· Performs recruiting functions such as: preparing job descriptions, posting jobs on internet sites, and screening resumes to determine best candidates for the client’s positions. Performs reference checks for clients. Prepares offer letters and new hire packets.

· Maintains consistent communication and provides updates to consultants on projects, task status, questions, deadlines, etc.

· Manages client activities and developing strong business relationships with clients, ensure quality service.

· Guides clients through the problem-resolution process regarding employee issues pertaining to leaves of absence, workers' compensation, and disability accommodations.

· Conducts research for clients as needed or requested and provides information in a professional format that is ready to send to clients.

· Writes employee handbooks, job descriptions, Illness and Injury Prevention Plans & performance reviews based on approved company formats.

· Assists in the preparation of management and employee training in interviewing, hiring, termination, promotions, performance reviews, safety and unlawful harassment and other topics as needed.

· Prepares employee separation notices and related termination documentation.

· Organizes and conducts client file audits and prepares audit follow up reports and materials.

· Process background checks, skills assessments and work style profiles for clients.

· Maintains files, documents, and knowledge of operations, clients and employees in a neat and organized manner, maintaining the strictest confidence.

· Responds to all calls, emails and other communication in a timely and professional manner.

· Supports a positive team working relationship with a professional work ethic and attitude.

Requirements

  

Bachelor's degree and three to five years related experience in human resources. PHR Preferred. This position requires an individual who is highly organized, has high attention to detail, able to prioritize in a fast- paced environment, and has strong computer skills in MS Office software. Must have ability to travel locally occasionally.
