About the Role:
The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas is looking for a versatile Manager, Technology Solutions who will oversee technology solution delivery with management responsibility for a team of professional staff. Manages a group of projects and may provide application systems and programming for a major segment, such as a function or a division. Usually responsible for multiple projects or systems; or alternatively, may be accountable for a group of IT Services functions and be accountable for the planning, analysis, evaluation and coordination of Bank-wide interactive software. Work with and provide oversight to other IT managers and project managers to identify and assign resources to technology services to meet customer demand. Applies highest level technical skills and experience to most complex business projects and problems. You may direct the work of other team members not under your direct administrative responsibility. Provide technical guidance to employees, colleagues and customers.
You Will:
- Manage all aspects of technology services including solutions development, testing, platform management, operations support, maintenance, business relationships, and resources.
- Provide expert knowledge of application and cloud architecture to business and technology teams and facilitate the collaborative development of the technology strategy, technology standards, roadmaps, and practices.
- Ensure that system improvements are implemented and monitored to increase efficiency.
- Ensure organization unit and staff are operating in compliance with policies of the System/District.
- Communicate priorities and performance expectations, provides regular feedback and conduct performance appraisals for direct reports.
- Oversee quality and timeliness of deliverables produced by subordinate managers and staff.
- Develop others through coaching, feedback and stretch assignments.
- Identify potential developmental moves matching career aspirations and organizational needs.
- Establish new and maintain relationships with the customers and co-providers.
- Maintain a broad understanding of the business domains.
- Provide oversight to ensure the right technology services are delivered to meet the customers' expectations and risks are managed.
- Keep up to date with the technology trends and propose new technology services that align with the needs and ITS strategy.
- Anticipate customer needs and provide services meeting customer expectations.
- Establish annual budget and tracks expenses for assigned units, projects and business assets.
- Manage the accurate reporting of all financial information to the appropriate parties.
- Leads and/or participates on System and District-level initiatives and/or committees influencing standards, practices and/or policies.
You Have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or Business Administration.
- At least five years of leadership experience in IT operations providing technology solutions to end-users and supporting solution development responsibilities.
- Experience with direct supervisory responsibilities with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Experience in attracting, developing and retaining high performing professionals.
- Experience with Agile and System Development Life Cycle methodology for Application development.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills to effectively communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences adjusting style to fit the target audience including multiple levels of management.
- Experience developing and managing budgets and expenses.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and practically apply new concepts or principles which can be confirmed by experience.
- Strong understanding of architecture, cloud, agile and scaled agile. Must be able to coach and mentor as needed.
- Experience applying project management practices on small to medium projects.
- Demonstrated experience and maturity in managing risks at the project, team and enterprise level.
- Experience supplying technology services using a co-provider model with multiple, partnering service providers.
