Job Description:

Ipsen is a global biopharmaceutical company committed to improving patients' lives through innovative solutions in oncology, neuroscience, and rare diseases. We are looking for an Investor Relations Officer to join our team and play a key role in communicating our strategy and performance to the financial community.

Main Responsibilities

Aligning Corporate Messaging and Preparing Financial Communication Materials

  • Support the alignment of corporate messaging and prepare communication materials.
  • Produce and distribute communication documents, including Q&A materials.
  • Organize investor-focused events, such as Capital Markets Days or events at medical congresses.
  • Manage event logistics, including conference calls and webcasts.
  • Oversee the translation of key documents (English to French).

Point of Contact with the Investment Community

  • Act as a key contact for the investment community, particularly French analysts and investors.
  • Attend investor conferences, non-deal roadshows, and analyst/investor meetings (occasional travel required).
  • Build and maintain relationships with analysts and investors.

Monitoring Market Perceptions and Analysis

  • Collect and analyze analysts’ consensus estimates.
  • Monitor analysts’ reports to understand market sentiment and perceptions of the company.
  • Track competitors’ activities and provide reports to senior leadership.

Operational Support and Management

  • Manage the Investor Relations budget and maintain the IR website.
  • Recruit, train, and manage IR interns.
  • Handle back-office tasks, such as maintaining the IR database, processing invoices, and summarizing analyst notes.
  • Liaise with the AMF and prepare briefings for senior management ahead of investor events.

Experience & Skills

  • Degree from a business school, engineering school, or university master’s program.
  • Ideally post-graduate, with 3–5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and financial sectors.
  • Prior experience in Investor Relations is appreciated but not essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English.
  • Comfortable interacting with senior management daily.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills.
  • Curiosity and a willingness to learn, with a desire to deepen understanding of pharmaceutical operations and financial pipelines.
  • Strategic thinking combined with robust analytical skills.
  • Good understanding of the pharmaceutical sector and its business drivers.
