Our Chery Hill, NJ retail location is currently seeking a Retail Store Manager. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of the store, lead the team, and ensure an exceptional customer experience while driving sales and profitability.
Duties & Responsibilities
The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing sales performance, store operations, asset protection, and human resources functions to deliver outstanding customer service and maximize profitability.
Key responsibilities include:

Directing and supervising associates in sales, inventory management, cash handling, and customer service

Creating weekly schedules to ensure adequate floor coverage within budget guidelines; reviewing and submitting timesheets and payroll documentation accurately

Promoting exceptional customer service by ensuring associates actively greet and assist customers and by addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally

Monitoring inventory levels and sales trends to make timely replenishment requests and maximize fulfillment

Leveraging product knowledge to improve employee productivity, sales performance, and service levels

Maintaining a clean, organized, and visually appealing store; ensuring visual merchandising standards are consistently met and training associates accordingly

Ensuring compliance with all opening and closing procedures, cash register operations, bank deposits, and daily cash reconciliations

Proactively managing loss prevention efforts to safeguard cash, merchandise, and company property

Reducing employee turnover by hiring qualified candidates, onboarding effectively, setting clear expectations, and providing ongoing coaching and performance feedback

Building strong customer relationships by motivating and inspiring the team; consistently modeling key sales and service behaviors

Maximizing email capture opportunities to support customer communication initiatives

Traveling as needed to school events, company meetings, and off-site projects

Preparing for and overseeing physical inventories, receiving merchandise, and reporting discrepancies

Ensuring compliance with all company policies, procedures, and applicable laws

Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications

College degree in business or a related field preferred

Minimum of 4 years of retail experience preferred

At least 2 years of management or supervisory experience

Bilingual (Spanish) preferred, but not required

Proficiency with Windows-based software, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

Ability to analyze sales and inventory reports

Open availability to support business needs (no late nights or Sundays required)

Strong relationship-building skills with customers, peers, and leadership

Confidence in decision-making and conflict resolution within a team environment

Ability to remain calm and adaptable in a fast-paced retail setting

Strong delegation and prioritization skills

Proven leadership abilities with clear, effective written and verbal communication

Ability to stand and move throughout the sales floor and stockroom for most of the day

Physical capability to bend, kneel, lift up to 30 lbs., climb, carry, walk, and reach on a frequent basis
